Actually Mike, I believe that things as important as voting, and thus the voter register are so critically important that they demand care and attention on an ongoing basis. Any data base is only as good as the accuracy and current nature of the data it contains. The old adage “garbage in, garbage out”. I can only assume from your disregard for the sanctity of the voter register that you do not hold the right and privilege of voting in the same high regard that I do.

As to it being a waste of tax dollars; there are many processes within functional and fair government that require revisiting and updating data bases all the time. Drivers licenses, State and Federal tax payment status, Medicare qualification and much, much more. All of these demand care and attention, otherwise they disintegrate into chaos.

As for self-determination; all one needs to do is play by the rules and it is all good.

One-time Democrat, came to my senses, opinionated…but evidence based, moderately conservative, have trouble with BS…especially the political variety.
