Dear Mr. Obama; Lies can not fill a void of truth.

I listened to your speech last night. You are definitely a great speaker, with refined teleprompter reading skills and command of tempo, and the pregnant pause. However, your association with the truth, or rather lack thereof stood out to me more than any other aspect of his message. Why did you have to LIE to present the argument for Joe becoming President? When you say Trump has done nothing (or nothing you like anyway) everyone knows that is a lie. Trump has his issues, of that there is no doubt, but the guy has been busy. Just the one thing of getting the Prison Reform Act passed, and freeing so many who did not deserve the prison sentences they got did more for minority communities than you achieved in 8 years in the POTUS chair. Now throw in the hottest economy and best employment numbers in history, a new (and better) North America trade deal, opportunity zones for under-served minority communities, standing up to China, fending off a false impeachment, and still getting some bad guys evaporated and bringing us the first glimmer of a peace deal in the mid-east; to name a few. Not that you didn’t have some achievements of your own; all Presidents do. So why did you have to lie? Why did you have to fill your constituents with false information and an upside-down view of reality? The only conclusion I can come to is you felt like you had to because otherwise you do not have enough truth to tell to make your point. You are an intelligent man. There cannot be any other reason. Politics does not demand, nor does it give you the excuse to make up a bunch of distorted stuff. It seems like too many politicians at all levels of government, feel free to spew whatever BS they feel they need to in order to get elected or re-elected. I had hoped that somehow you would rise above that, but I can see that hope was misplaced.
