Eloquent, as always. There was a period that followed Trumps election that feels a lot like these words. A huge, relentless barrage of attacks from the left based largely on lies. Not that there were not issues of behavior, because there always are and these more egregious than most. But though the mechanism was different the intention was the same. Impeachment was on the lips of liberal leaders and leftist media talking heads before he ever took office. The silence of powerful voices from the left only served to stoke the flames. Their goal was to overthrow the election. Right or wrong, that feels like a genesis point that only served to set the stage for the “ pendulemic” moment that was January 6. Every so-called leader since then has had a hand in that chaotic day.
