Entertaining speculation Al. Though I have been a Ford fan at times, both the cars and the stock, I rarely feel compelled to pay close attention to either these days. Their stuff just does not capture my imagination; nor does their leadership. Besides great vehicles, Tesla has Musk. Ford has ??. People bought into Apple because the product and its technology was (is) great, but at least as much so because of Jobs. Charisma is a driver of attraction. Musk has it to spare. Unless Ford can reanimate Henry they will always be playing from behind in that arena.That said, there is still a place for Ford, but they would be better served to focus on being better than GM, Toyota, Honda, Kia and the like. Be the best amongst them first, then look up and think about taking on Tesla.
