Hello Lauren. I agree with you almost completely on your piece. Not easy to achieve as I am picky and opinionated. But I do respect your voice, so keep writing.

It is impossible not to draw parallels between Paul', Jr.'s trip with mom and Hunter's trip with Dad. That's the natural reaction of politics. Nancy has been around since dirt though, and she is pretty sharp, so you know she knew this would eventually become public knowledge and that would further inflame the political polarity amongst the populous.

I am not shocked, but at the same time shocked, by liberal media types trying to backfill this as somehow OK. I expected that would happen, but I thought they might actually think it through first. But instead they performed the much practiced KJR (knee-jerk-reaction) and immendiately got into evidence trouble.

So, why would Nancy Pelosi, one of the most seasoned and savvy politco's of recent decades, do such a thing? You know she knew what the impact would be for her fellow Democrats, her party and Americans in general. So why? Certainly not because the Pelosi family couldn't afford air travel tickets for Junior. I think it's because she doesn't care. I think it's because she knows the Republicans will win the House (and perhaps the Senate) in November and her political carreer will be done. This was a last chance action. It's was theirs / his last chance to leverage Momma's political stature for financial gain. There simply is no other plausible reason.
