I always enjoy your perspective Alexei.

I am sad for all the Russian people. Whether they know it or not their country is dead. It was kill by the war crimes of a delusional maniac. The reality is that even if Putin withdraws his troops and give Ukraine back to the Ukrainians, as Turkish President Erdogan and so many otherworld leaders want, Russia can never be trusted not to try to repeat this sort of sick, school-yard-bully aggression again. Too many atrocities. Too many war crimes. Too many murders. Too many lies. Putin's Russia has officially entered history with the likes of Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy, Hirohito's Japan.

There is fear that Putin will resort to some level of nuclear weaponry. Because such devices are in his "arsenal" that cannot be ruled out. One would hope that somewhere in his dark heart he sees that as a line not to be crossed. But for the sake of the world, and whatever remains of the real Russia, one would also hope that someone in Russia would have the balls to make sure he cannot commit that final global atrocity.
