Imagine, umair haque bashing America. What a shock!

This Jewish thing probably didn’t get covered because it was not representative of anything to do with the Holocaust as your “story” would have your readers believe. These youngsters weren’t even born at the time and have no firsthand idea of what Hitler’s brand a fascism was like. If they did they would know that parallels don’t exist. I have more than a few Jewish friends and none of them are talking this smack. They are more concerned with the divisive and erosive tone of polarized media…..of which you seem to be a member.

So, let’s think this through together. In the 1930’s the Gestapo ran all over Europe rounding up Jews from their homes and annihilating them in death camps. In 2019 America arrests people trying to break into the country illegally and provides food and shelter and even gives many the opportunity to be here legally; and the vast majority of them go on to break that trust and never show up for their hearing. There is no comparison! There is no evidence to support that what’s happening at our southern border is anything like what happened in the Holocaust. Is it all good? No. Is the system overwhelmed? Yes. Is it our fault? I don’t think so. You are welcome to your opinion though, because, after all, this is America.
