So the answer is I should just give you my house that I worked hard to build? If not, where would you get the money?

In building a house and renting it to you I would give you access to something you might not have been able to do for yourself. I can't write books so I buy them from you. You can't build houses so you buy/rent tham from me. That gives you the opportunity to write and sell more books. If you do well at that you will reap financial rewards.

If the rent is too high or the interest too steep, economics would demand you look elsewhere. I, and most of the people I know, have had to make that choice, more than once, at some point in our lives.
