Movies are fantasy worlds. None of this matters. All this jabbering only serves to further inflame an already inflammatory mess. If you don’t like something about a movie don’t go see it. Simple.

In the real world skin color bullshit is not all that neatly segregated to exist just within the larger partitions of black or white. In both you can be further segregated into too black or too white. There are all sorts of pointless appearance differences, even within the races, that are used in some sick way to try to have some advantage over someone else. Lips too big, nose too flat, forehead too low, eyes too wide apart…yet none of it matters. It’s just the pettiness gene that seems to run throughout the entire human race being used to prop up an “I’m better than you” illusion. It’s a misbehavior glitch that seems to be imbedded in our programming that demands we exclaim and be ready to die for differences; My kids are smarter than your kids. My car is cooler than your car. My dog is cuter than your dog. My god is better than your god. What a load of crap! None of that matters.

I frequently think that we humans are sadly immature in that we still carry, sometimes intentionally and sometimes unknowingly, the behavior of millennia gone by. We still got this tribal mentality driving us to tribe-up, segregate, differentiate. We are still brutal to each other; across races, within races, across genders and within genders.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that not everyone is like that. Some of us get it. I’m defined as white, but I don’t care about that, or what color or race you or some fictitious mermaid are. But you know what, the government does. The fact that the census demands that governments put on us require that we choose a race so they can keep score is perhaps testament to how engrained the problem is. Considering what government is supposed to do for us do they really need to know our skin color? I think not.
