New Yorkers! Time to get out.

I could write this piece about any of many big cities in America. Philly, Chicago, DC, SF, LA…but I chose New York. It’s partly because of the most recent atrocity on the streets; the stabbing murder of Allison Russo-Elling. New Yorkers are certainly not strangers to street violence, whether it be punk thugs or the mentally deranged. But the death of Allison should be an obvious and ominous sign to every New Yorker that things have changed. The city is sinking in to lawless chaos. Your “street people” are not the harmless disadvantaged they are often portrayed as. Many, too many, are getting more bold, more ruthless, and more brazen by the day. It’s so bad that the New York Times plays the problem down from the daily front page it deserves.

Consider that Allison Russo-Elling was attacked out of nowhere by a long-time psycho intent on murder. He stabbed her repeatedly, so sources said many as twenty times. If that doesn’t make you look over your shoulder a lot, you should start. Think about it. We’ve all seen the pictures or videos of innocent people walking down the street and getting hit over the head from behind, or worse, by some lowlife street thug. We’ve all seen the shop keepers beaten to near death or gangs beating up on individuals in broad daylight. It’s scary how easy it is top become numb to this violence. Think about it! someone is going to be next. Where is your family right now? How do they get to work, school, church, grocery store? Subway? Are you kidding me?

The real problem for New Yorkers is that no one in your city leadership has a clue what to do…and likely not the political balls to do it anyway. They need to at least immediately reinstate stop and frisk. Something the leftist, criminal-first DA’s and Judges will not allow…even when that simple tool is so desperately needed. And your Mayor, and council men and women got nothing.

Time to go!

Sadly, you are left with one choice; escape while you can. Anyone and everyone who has the means to get themselves and their family out of NYC should do so ASAP. It is not going to get any better as NYC sinks into this recession. All the indicators point to times getting worse, much worse.

One-time Democrat, came to my senses, opinionated…but evidence based, moderately conservative, have trouble with BS…especially the political variety.
