Nice article. I appreciate your perspective. I think as long as we are a world of individuals, even with common cause, we will each interpret messages and moments from our own individual perspectives. It is not hard to have your own perspective, it is only difficult to always see that of others.

My family taught and still teaches simple ideas that we see as irrefutable. “You can’t judge a book by it’s cover” always includes not just the words and images of it’s yet-to-be-read content, but the “color” of that cover as well.

I can see Missy Elliott’s perspective and understand what she is saying. I can embrace her perspective and apply it in my own world without the need to modify it for my own purposes. In fact, her perspective already existed within mine, it was only waiting for her to express it with her own words; something only she could do.
