Predatory claims and weaponized words, but nothing to back them up with means it’s all BS.

Well, there you go again umair, the usual spouting of BS about America and Americans without any reference to reality. I didn’t get past the first couple of paragraphs before I saw it was the same old umair ranting the same old anarchistic stuff. Let me show you what I mean, just in case some of your readers don’t understand what you are up to;

For example; you claim that Americans are “poor, broke and miserable” without citing any reference data for your claim. Living here I can tell you that some probably are, but the vast majority certainly are not.

In the next sentence you state “income, saving and life expectancy are plummeting”. Actually the data shows you are blowing smoke. Check this out, it’s in the public record;

According to the US Census Bureau and the Social Security Administration the median annual household income for Americans in 2018 was $63,179, or about $1,800 higher than 2017. Hardly plummeting!

I can agree that Americans never seem to save enough, but that’s not new nor is it plummeting. If you look at net worth you get a much clearer picture of their financial reality. According to MSNBC / Money, the mean and median net worth for Americans at age 75 are $1,007,000 and $264,800 respectively. And both those numbers have been increasing year on year for a long time. Hardly the financial disaster you would have folks believe.

And finally, life expectancy in the US has increased at a steady pace sine 1950. According to the World Bank it was 78.69 years in 2016. It is now estimated to be 79.38 in 2019 according to GeoBase.se. Hardly the draconian situation your daily diatribes try to foist upon your readers.

So, if I assume you are a smart enough guy to actually look for reference data (just ask Google) I can only believe that you are not interested in the truth, but rather the presentation and promotion of attacks on America and Americans for the purpose of doing us harm. A sad commentary for a guy who made his “nest egg” as a Wall Streeter.

One final comment: You mentioned France. I love France. I’ve been there many times. I have quite a few French friends. According to the current OECD’s Better Life Index, “ In France, the average household net wealth is estimated at USD 280 653, lower than the OECD average of USD 409 880.” (Something my French friends point out, usually during the second bottle of wine at dinner.) A couple of other interesting facts about France; the population is just over 63 million. Just over 77 million visitors arrive each year. 8.7% of its energy consumption comes from renewable sources. According to the US Energy Information Administration about 14.94% of domestically produced electricity in America comes from renewable sources.

And I still love France!
