Trading one apple for 2 carrots is fundamental capitalism. It is free and open to everyone...something everyone can do. Soviet communism was a bunch of thugs who not only syphoned off the weath of the population but also made it so they were the only ones allowed to play the game. Just like Putin and this thugs today. "Soviet" is gone but the thuggish behaviour remains.
