Well Jessica…. Really?
First, rape is not something I tolerate. I have often wondered what I would do if I came upon a rape in progress. My sense is I would (try to) kick the living crap out of the perpetrator. The idea of raping a woman disgusts me that much.

That said, I live in Texas. I do not see what you claim about Texas men. Quite the opposite. Most would probably take a similar action to mine if they encountered a rapist at work. Most of the are god-loving and pretty conservative, and they would take the woman’s side every time. But that’s not the issue is it.

As usual, your article used a highly sensitive touch point (rape) as a vehicle to bash folks you don’t agree with; in this case all Texans, all Republicans and the “dude bros” who I assume are men in general. OK, blame who you like, it’s a free country. But consider that the schools and universities you site as standing by or covering up rapes are more often that not Democrat mindset institutions. If they are ignoring the “rape culture” that you say infests their schools shouldn’t the blame be more widespread than just Texans and Republicans and “dude bros”. Might it not be the liberal mindset of public education? But, a balanced approach to tackling this challenge was not your point was it.

One-time Democrat, came to my senses, opinionated…but evidence based, moderately conservative, have trouble with BS…especially the political variety.
