Well Pat...like I said, these are more your sensibilities than mine.

I would not expect someone from the left to see the perspective of someone from the right. It used to be that way, but not any more.

We should not confuse Russian meddling the 2016 election with Russian collusion on the part of Trump. No one questions the meddling, Mueller found no collusion.

You completely missed the point of my original message. All politicians lie! I realize that the ideas of a few Republicans are used to paint the whole party, but that just more lies.

You say the Dem claim that " Republicans want to kill social security" is valid because "some (1 or 2?) are on record" of saying they might want to look at different funding criteria. But similarly some (many) Democrats are on record of wanting to defund the police. In neither case does it mean that the whole party is going to do anything like that.

Bothsiderism is just a place to hide and deny that the thoughts of your opponent, or someone with another opinion that yours, are invalid. To me, that smacks of being a variant of cancel-culture.
